About Us
The Arid Lands Initiative is composed of multiple private and public entities in eastern Washington who benefit from coordinating ongoing actions with each other, to help each of them achieve their own goals and objectives.
Our core team has worked together since 2009 to identify shared priorities.
With the help of many experts and stakeholders we helped develop key science products to assess the health of systems and species we care about, and to and identify priority areas for their conservation. These science products extend beyond Washington State boundaries, following the natural extension of the Columbia Plateau Ecoregion.
